Most hotels are located in Waikiki and will be close to the ceremony and reception sites. If you plan to rent a place on the North Shore, please be aware that it is about an hour drive from the reception.

July is the peak travel season in Hawaii, so I highly recommend making reservations as soon as you know your travel plans. In fact, if your reservations allow cancellations or changes and you like the place and price, it's probably best to reserve your room.

We have discount group rates at a couple different hotels. We haven’t gotten a group rate at the Moana Surfrider, the wedding reception site, mainly because I didn’t think there would be enough interest given the price range. However, if you are interested in staying here, please let me know, and if there is enough interest I’ll try to get us a group rate.

Finally, once you have accommodations, please let us know where and when you'll be staying. We want to ensure that we have the appropriate number of rooms blocked off and that everyone has a place to stay. If we need to block off more rooms, we'll have a better chance of getting them the sooner we know.

This is a very good rate for the season and location. The hotel has a great location on Kalakaua Avenue which is the main street in Waikiki. Both Waikiki Beach and the wedding reception at the Moana Surfrider Hotel are right across the street (on the other side of Kalakaua). In fact, weddings guests have to park at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel.

A boutique alternative but slightly further away from the reception. We've never seen the properties but they have good reviews on TripAdvisor.com. The Waikiki Wave got the best reviews and the lowest rates (of the 4 Aqua hotels) when I checked. Some have limited or no parking.

Vacation Rentals
If hotels aren't your thing or you want to get outside of Waikiki there are plenty of vacation rental options. However, a lot of them have minimum night requirements and cleaning charges. As expected, it becomes more affordable with larger groups.
